Simon Yau, Consultant, Hong Kong

Simon is jointly responsible for Metals Focus analysis on Chinese jewelry and silverware. Prior to joining Metals Focus, he worked for the World Gold Council (WGC), focusing on supporting the jewelry industry, almost continuously for 20 years, with a brief break working for the Platinum Guild International. While working for the WGC, Simon successfully helped create a brand new 18K fashion gold jewelry category, 'K-gold', which helped enlarge gold jewelry demand on the Mainland. Simon Yau holds a degree in Marketing from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from the University of Hull, UK.
